Social Currant is an influencer marketing platform & agency that helps causes and campaigns work with creators more effectively. We’ve helped some of the largest progressive nonprofits in the country run creators programs on important issues like reproductive rights, voting, immigration and more.

The following is a document that sets forth the roles & responsibilities of the Chief of Staff role at Social Currant. This is an evolving document that will grow as the scope of the work & organization changes.

Applications for this role will be due by June 13th, with the ideal start date for this role July 7th. This role is open to fully remote candidates with a preference for someone based in DC.

The following are a few specific actions & responsibilities associated with that:

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, supporting cross-functional priorities and ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Connect with existing and potential clients to understand their needs and support them in their strategies. Ensuring that Social Currant is consistently evolving to serve our clients better.
  • Drive day-to-day operations, including managing internal workflows, improving processes, and ensuring timely execution across projects.
  • Lead internal marketing and growth initiatives, collaborating with the CEO and external partners to support business development efforts.
  • Manage contract lifecycles — from drafting and execution to renewals and compliance — across clients, vendors, and creators.
  • Support core business functions such as budgeting, financial tracking, and revenue forecasting.
  • Support team operations including hiring, onboarding, culture-building, and ongoing team coordination.
  • Monitor key metrics and help build systems for internal dashboards, reports, and organizational performance tracking.
  • Serve as a project manager on priority initiatives, jumping into areas of need and filling operational gaps. This might include taking notes, being the host on calls, updating action items and more.
  • Be a force multiplier for the CEO and executive team, ensuring the organization runs smoothly, efficiently, and in line with company values.

This role will report to Ashwath Narayanan, Co-Founder & CEO at Social Currant.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • This role falls under the $75K - $85K salary band range. Ideal candidates will have 2 to 4 years of experience.
  • 0.5 - 1% in Equity Compensation
  • 24 PTO Days, Unlimited Sick Leave.
  • Opportunity to come in-person to DC for team retreats, conferences etc.
  • Course stipend on a case by case basis to learn new things.
