Survey Manager
Survey 160 seeks a full-time survey manager to manage text-to-web data collection projects. Survey 160 is a research company that builds and uses proprietary software to conduct live interviewer SMS and text-to-web surveys on elections, public policy, and other topics.
This survey manager will work with the Chief Research Officer and Lead Survey Manager to conduct quantitative research both in support of client projects and company-wide services, clean/sort/maintain survey data, and assist with ongoing client operations with respect to data collection using our proprietary software and web survey software. In particular, this role will focus on managing the online portions of text-to-web surveys. Through this work, you will help Survey 160 achieve its mission of providing accurate and actionable public opinion research at affordable costs to Democratic, progressive, and non-profit clients.
This role is ideal for candidates with 1-2 years experience at a survey firm, or recent college graduates with experience working with university survey research centers. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about survey research, methodological innovation and advancing progressive values. REQUIREMENTS
1-2 years of experience in programming web surveys using web survey platforms, performing quality control checks, and/or managing projects for clients.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, especially in writing appropriate to be delivered to a client
Proficiencies in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
Ability to work well with remote colleagues.
Problem-solving, critical thinking & communication skills
Highest degree of integrity, specifically with respect to access to sensitive client information/data
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated interest in advancing progressive values.
Experience programming surveys using the Alchemer web platform.
Prior academic or industry experience with survey design and/or survey data analysis
Demonstrated fluency with Stata, R, or similar statistical package for cleaning and analyzing data; proven ability to debug own code and code of others.
Ability to creatively contribute to internal research to develop best practices for text-to-web surveys.
Willing to work evenings and weekends to accommodate the seven-day-a-week work of fielding surveys.
LOCATION
Survey 160 is a fully remote company; all applicants must be eligible to work in the United States and be able to virtually meet with other team members during US time zone working hours.
COMPENSATION
The salary range is between $50,000 and $60,000, depending on experience.

Part-Time Survey Manager
Survey 160 seeks a part-time survey manager to manage data collection projects. Survey 160 is a research company that builds and uses proprietary software to conduct live interviewer SMS and text-to-web surveys on elections, public policy, and other topics.
This survey manager will work with the Chief Research Officer and Lead Survey Manager to conduct quantitative research both in support of client projects and company-wide services, clean/sort/maintain survey data, and assist with ongoing client operations with respect to data collection using our proprietary software and the Alchemer web survey software. In particular, this role will focus on managing the online portions of text-to-web surveys. Through this work, you will help Survey 160 achieve its mission of providing accurate and actionable public opinion research at affordable costs to Democratic, progressive, and non-profit clients.
For this part-time contractor role we are seeking a candidate who can work between 10 and 20 hours a week. We are particularly interested in candidates who are willing to work non-traditional schedules to accommodate the seven-day-a-week work of fielding surveys.
The part-time role is ideal for a motivated graduate student interested in gaining experience working in industry. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about survey research, methodological innovation and advancing progressive values. We are looking for flexible capacity for up to 20 hours per week.
COMPENSATION
The compensation for this contract is hourly between $25 and $40 per hour, depending on time commitment and experience.
